We are thrilled to announce that WiDS Trinidad and Tobago (WiDS TT) is now an affiliated partner of the Northeast Big Data Innovation Hub’s Caribbean Islands Community Chapter! This milestone strengthens our commitment to advancing data-driven development and academic excellence across the region. As part of this exciting journey, we are collaborating with the National Student Data Corps (NSDC) in the U.S. to launch our inaugural WiDS TT Summer Data Camp 2025!
What is the Data Camp about?
This initiative welcomes all data enthusiasts, students, faculty, and professionals, interested in hands-on data exploration and research design.
What’s included?
Participants will gain access to:
– A guided Project Toolkit with clear step-by-step instructions
– Defined research milestones for a 30-hour data project
– Mentorship and community support throughout
– A Certificate of Completion

Camp Dates: July 18 – August 22, 2025
The camp is fully flexible: complete your project at your own pace (estimated: 30 hours) with ongoing support via our Slack Channel, mentoring sessions, and collaborative learning. Whether you are exploring your first dataset or refining a research question, we will be there to support you, alongside our amazing partners at the Northeast Big Data Innovation Hub.
