Julie is a dynamic data professional with a passion for mentoring, education, and innovation. She holds a BSc in Computer Science & Management (First Class Honours) and a MSc in Data Science (Merit) from the University of the West Indies. Currently, she is pursuing an MBA with a specialization in Business Analytics at the Heriot-Watt University, enhancing her expertise at the intersection of business and data science. Julie is a dedicated researcher at TTLAB, contributing to innovative, data-driven projects. As a mentor with the Women in Data Science Trinidad and Tobago (WIDSTT) since 2023, she has been actively involved in outreach initiatives, participated in datathons, and delivered engaging presentations at WIDSTT events, inspiring and empowering aspiring data professionals, especially women, to thrive in the field.
In addition to her academic and research commitments, Julie shares her knowledge as a part-time lecturer at SBCS, delivering modules for the University of Greenwich’s BSc Computing program. She applies her expertise as a Data Scientist at a major Caribbean financial institution, solving complex problems and driving impactful decisions.
